Okehampton Castle

Probably one of our closest Dartmoor Attractions, Okehampton Castle is a great place to visit during your stay. Just 10 minutes’ drive away, you can explore the castle, which was once owned by the Sheriff of Devon, Baldwin de Brionne. Enjoy a free audio tour and explore the remains. You can still get a sense of the grandeur and power from the layout of the ruined buildings and motte.
Lydford Gorge
Lydford, Tavistock, Okehampton EX20 4BH
Lydford Gorge is the deepest river forge in the Southwest and one of the great places to visit on Dartmoor. Its temperate rainforest is now a globally rare habitat and has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Explore the ancient woodland and railway to discover the 30m-high Whitelady Waterfall. Or descend into the deepest part of the forge and brave the Devil’s Cauldron Pothole. It’s a Dartmoor must see.
Roadford Lake

If you love an active break and are looking for things to do in Dartmoor National Park, this is one of the best places to visit. Just 20 minutes away from the resort you will find Roadford Lake. Surrounded by countryside and nestled among the beautiful surroundings of the Wolf Valley. Things to do include: kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, sailing and archery to name just a few.
Eden Project
