Resorts Clinch Bronze for Largest Hotel of the Year at the Devon Tourism Awards
You may remember us recently sharing the news that we were shortlisted for the ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ award at the prestigious Devon Tourism Awards… well we have exciting news – we won BRONZE!
On November 16th, senior members of our team headed over to the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay to attend the awards evening, which recognises the exceptional talent and contribution that businesses in Devon bring to the tourism sector. We enjoyed a spectacular night celebrating local businesses and were thrilled to pick up bronze in the ‘Large Hotel’ category on our first year entering the awards.
So, what sets us apart from the rest?
This award doesn’t just recognise size, it’s about what we do with it, and we feel that is an area where we excel. Tucked away in Devon’s picturesque Dartmoor landscape, our resorts have everything from golf and spa facilities to padel tennis and crafts. We offer something for everyone, making us ideal for couples, families, and large groups.
Our staff are also hugely important to our business. Their warmth and dedication make our resorts feel like a home away from home, bringing people back year after year. We couldn’t have achieved this award without them and for that we are incredibly grateful.
For us, scoring Bronze for the Largest Hotel of the Year isn’t just an accolade—it’s recognition of our unwavering commitment. It’s proof that we aren’t just big in size; we’re big on delivering an experience that will give you memories to cherish for years to come.
Something which made the evening even more special was that we got to share the win with other Okehampton businesses – Devon Dogs, Adventure Okehampton, The Museum of Dartmoor Life, Granite Way Cycle Hub & Cafe and Alder Vineyards, who not only won 2 gold awards, but won the ‘Winner of Winners’ award. What an incredible achievement.
A huge congratulations to everyone who was commended and took home a prize on the night. We’re so proud to be named among you. Here’s to continuing to set the bar high and doing our part for Devon Tourism.
