Cycle Hire

A bike hire service is available from Ashbury with a range of child and adult bikes.

We have 5 different cycle routes at present ranging from 7 to 25 miles and are suitable for 12yrs+. This is a fantastic way to see some of the local scenery. Our two most popular routes are a circular 9.3 mile route out to the picturesque village of Northlew and a 24.8 mile route to Roadford Reservoir that includes some forests next to the reservoir.

We also offer a drop-off and collection service to the famous Granite Way trail, suitable for younger riders.

Bike Hire costs £5*per bike, plus a returnable deposit of £20 per bike.

Hire price includes: Bike, Helmet, Map, Gloves, Hi-Vis Vest, Tyre Kit & Lock (Per group)

• Bike Hire charges are for part or full day

• Our bikes are available to hire to all residents 12 YEARS OF AGE AND ABOVE. 12-17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult(18+).

• All guests must complete the relevant forms and disclaimers before hiring a bike.

• Guests must take a mobile phone with them.

• We currently have 3 sizes of unisex bikes.

• We also have one electrically assisted bike for hire (hire cost £10). This has 5 levels of power that can be turned on all of the time or simply used to assist up hills.

• Our bikes are ONLY FOR HIRE ON OUR DESIGNATED ROUTES. We have endeavoured to provide routes which totally avoid busy roads, apart from a couple of crossings. The routes selected are on quieter country lanes and offer a choice of distances.
